Project contents
The respective hardware interfaces are connected to a central system via highly efficient hardware-oriented interface drivers. This system is then designed to offer a flexible software architecture in which highly specialized data-processing subsystems can be anchored and connected to the interface drivers. This will enable more complex tasks such as long-term storage, recoding, decryption or encryption, measurement calculation, and much more to be carried out in addition to the pure transport of data, even after the end of the project. This ensures that it will be possible to respond flexibly to emerging market requirements and updates to regulations.
SMGw Inventory
A software solution is being developed for device management and monitoring that can be operated both in the cloud and on-premise and supports the following activities in the area of operation and maintenance:
- Installation and hyperlocal device localization
- Device installation and maintenance at indoor locations with poor or no radio coverage (through the provision of offline-capable apps)
- Remote configuration of the SMGw, including software updates
- Remote monitoring of devices
- Forwarding of unregulated or weakly regulated metering data to the utility's service and planning departments
- Provision of interfaces for linking to other asset management systems (ERP, GIS)
